Having a drummer or color guard in your lineup can beef up your attack and defense boosts whether used to attack or to defend your city. Special, all-ages military buildings are drummer, color guard, champion and rogue buildings. So I’ll build an army based on the classes I use most often…generally that might consist of 1 or 2 fast unit barracks and two or more ranged unit barracks (ranged because they cost less to recruit and heal, they heal faster than most other classes, and the buildings are smaller and need less population). For instance I may never need artillery – they’re not much use against anything but heavy units. In my experience with this game I’ve learned there are certain classes of units that I don’t use as often. This isn’t something I’d suggest for those players in earlier ages or that have small cities. So if you want troops of each type that requires at least 5 buildings. I don’t recommend paying diamonds to open the last slot (you will sell the building in a future age) which limits you further. Regular military buildings, the kind you have to research, can give you up to 5 attached units – their size and population needs restrict the number of buildings you can have. But here are some tips for players who don’t have Alcatraz, even some for players that do.- If You Don’t Have Alcatraz Gotta have ’em if we want to battle, though, don’t we? That’s why I always suggest the Military Trifecta to limit troop losses and Alcatraz will help even more.
They’re big, they’re bulky, and often it’s hard to afford them or build enough to help in your city.
